FOX FORCE T-SHIRT FUNDRAISER

We have ordered 300 Fox Force T-shirts for all you Gavin supporters. The shirts are bright orange and feature Gavin with his light saber (check out the picture). If you are planning on running the Nashville half or whole marathon in Gavin’s honor, if you are coming to watch the race, or if you just love Gavin . . . then you need to have a shirt.

Shirts are $15, $9 of which goes directly to Gavin’s savings account. You are also welcome to contribute additional funds directly to the shirt printing, which means even more money from each shirt will go to Gavin.

T-shirts come in a variety of sizes so you can get one for every family member! If you are interested in a Fox Force T-shirt, please email Christi McEachern at christi@northstarideas.com. In your email let me know how many shirts you want and in what sizes. Available sizes are Adult: XXL, XL, L, M, S Youth: L, M, S, XS. Also, please put the words T-SHIRT ORDER on the subject line of the email. That way I can get to it immediately. I will send you a return email confirming your order and giving you a total amount due. That email will also tell you who to make your check out to and where to send it. Shirts should be available by the end of February and will be hand delivered to Illinois when members of the Fox or Bartow family next visit.

Our goal is to cover the planet (or at least several U.S. states) with orange shirts featuring Gavin’s “tough” face. So order today while your size is still available!

P.S. We are ordering special shirts for runners to wear on race day. More info on those shirts will come at a later date.

The bracelets have sold out! Thank You!

Orange rubber bracelets that say "Hope Courage Faith" are available in exchange for donations made to the Gavin Fox Benefit Account. These bracelets are similar to the yellow Lance Armstrong ones, but are orange because that is a color that represents Leukemia. If you would like a bracelet, please contact Amy Buttrey, Christi Burgess or Ed Kaiser ... or ask anyone that you see wearing one to help you get one.

Gavin's newest quote

From Stan:
Today he was talking about a little boy at his preschool that is a bully, and when Niki asked Gavin if he was a bully Gavin said, "Mom, I'm not a bully, I'm a threat!"
You go Gavin!!

A Poem from Aunt Cathy

Cancer is so limited. . .It cannot cripple love,It cannot shatter hope,It cannot corrode faith,It cannot eat away peace,It cannot destroy confidence,It cannot kill friendship,It cannot shut out memories,It cannot silence courage,It cannot invade the soul,It cannot reduce eternal life,It cannot quench the Spirit,It cannot lessen the power of the resurrection.

Words for Stan and Niki

Just close your eyes and open your heart,
And feel your worries and cares depart....
Yield yourself to the Father above,
And let Him hold you secure in His love.
For He hears every prayer and answers each one,
when we pray in His name, "Thy will be done."
And the burdens that seemed too heavy to bear,
Are lifted away on the wings of prayer.

*Helen Steiner Rice

And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves;but he was asleep. And they went and woke him, saying, "Save us Lord; we are perishing." Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea;and there was a great calm.

Gavin's Story

Gavin is the son of Niki & Stan Fox and the brother of Brynn. He has been diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia. The purpose of this blog is to update those friends and family members who love and care for Gavin and want to be part of his healing through prayer. The prayer requests posted here will be as specific as possible.

Yet give attention to your servant's prayer and his plea for mercy, O LORD my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day. * 1 Kings 8:28
